Designed by Sebastian Herkner as part of the NUDE Ecrin collection, this large crystalline glass container features an entirely transparent profile that showcases the high quality of NUDE's impeccable craftsmanship.
The shape of the colour-infused lid draws inspiration from the Earth Pyramids of Ritten - an impressive natural monument in South Tyrol. Whereas the commanding, heavy base builds a beautiful and weighty contrast to the elegant and precious lid. Pair it with other pieces from the series for an exciting table arrangement.
DESIGN BY SEBASTIAN HERKNER
Born in 1981 in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, Sebastian Herkner earned a degree in product design at the Offenbach University of Art and Design. There, he began to design objects and furniture that synthesize cultures, combine new technologies with traditional craftsmanship, highlight the beauty of his materials and draw renewed attention to the details. Herkner interned at Stella McCartney in London, deepening his knowledge of materials, colours, structures and textures. He opened his award-winning design studio in Offenbach am Main in 2006, and has worked for various brands on interior, exhibition, and museum design projects. Since 2007, Herkner has taught at HfG Offenbach am Main as a visiting lecturer.
NUDE refines everything to its essence, decluttering and distilling. This makes the final object simple to both understand and use. The result is perfectly reflected in NUDE crystalline glass.
This idea of simplicity is the guiding principle of NUDE. Whereas the mastery of craftsmanship is a signature of the NUDE brand.
NUDE prides itself in its artisanal approach to glassware, specializing in handmade, pure crystalline glass, whether the pieces are blown, pressed or press-blown. With 350 master blowers, NUDE continues to hand-make much of the world's most acclaimed glassware.
