Dichroic refers to glass that displays two or more colors depending on how the light hits it and from which angle it is viewed. The word comes from the Greek di- (two) and chroma (color). It creates shimmering, iridescent effects — the glass can appear one color in direct light, another in shadow or at a different angle.
This glass is created by layering micro-thin layers of metal oxides (such as titanium, chromium, or magnesium) onto the glass surface during production — a technique used in high-end art glass, also common in space/aerospace applications.
Cabochon refers to the shape of the glass element in the ring: a rounded, polished, convex surface without facets — smooth and tactile.

Known for art glass and innovations, Murano remains Europe's major luxury glass center. The term "Murano Glass" is synonymous with high-quality products and skilled artisans, reflecting its enduring reputation in glassmaking.
