We Do Wood was founded in Copenhagen in 2011, based on the vision that new Danish design and strict sustainability principles should go hand in hand. With the honorable ambition to always seek the best alternative, aligning design and manufacturing with nature. This can include: using formaldehyde-free glue, water-based paint or avoiding paint altogether by implementing other techniques such as carbonization and oxidation– all conscious design decisions to be as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. Bamboo was chosen as the main material because it outperforms any other woody material on every sustainability parameter, making it a clear choice.
The team behind We Do Wood - Sebastian Jørgensen, Klaus Jørgensen and Anders Holme Jensen are committed to raising the bar on all sustainability parameters, such as only sourcing materials from FSC certified suppliers, optimizing the use of raw materials and thereby ensuring that nothing goes to waste are some of the many steps taken to ensure that they meet their very own and strict ecological responsibilities.
All products are made in Denmark, chemical-, pesticide-, herbicide- and fertilizer-free and meet the strict European formaldehyde emission EO standard, ensuring an emission-free indoor climate.
